Yes we know this will have every fan of the late great funny man up in arms but here is why Pierce Brosnan is funnier than Robin Williams. Well we say that but that’s according to Sally Field.
The film in question…
She made the claim on a recent episode of a late night chat show for Stephen Colbert and it comes down to when she was filming the 1993 film Mrs Doubtfire. It was a huge hit costing only $25m it went on to make $441m at the worldwide box office.
Unsurprisingly Williams was the joker on the Mrs Doubtfire set improvising like crazy and always making his co-stars burst out laughing. Except that is for Sally Field and it became a source of frustration for Williams.
“It drove him mad, actually,” Field said. “It wasn’t funny. It just wasn’t funny.” adding “Robin was always trying something different to make me laugh. It was so unfunny. I can’t begin to tell you.
Funnier than Robin Williams….
So here’s why Pierce Brosnan is funnier than Robin Williams according to Field when she said, ‘And then Pierce, wonderful Pierce Brosnan, we were sitting at a table at the restaurant, and he made a fart noise on his arm. And I was gone. That was it.”
Personally we prefer Brosnan as James Bond but maybe he is a secret stand up after all!
Williams was only 63 years old when he tragically was found dead in his home in Tiburon California back in August 2014. The coroners office declared that the cause of death was suicide via asphyxiation. His last on screen appearance was in the sequel, ‘Night at the Museum : Secret of the Tomb’.
