By the power of Grayskull ….here’s the final Masters of the Universe trailer and looks a lot of fun and slightly camp with director Travis Knight bringing the legendary franchise back to the big screen in this epic live-action adventure.
After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.

This feature has been in development since 2007, but has gone through various studios, directors and writers connected to the project when the film was to be called “Grayskull”: and Joel Silver was going to produce with Justin Marks writing the script that would be shot in a style similar to Zack Snyder’s ‘300’. David S. Goyer had been brought in to write the script and was in talks to direct the film but stepped away as director to focus on other projects but he will remain on board as an executive producer and screenwriter and the studio is said to be very happy with the script he turned in. Jared Leto plays Skeletor but Tom Hardy was considered to play the rile originally.

Nicholas Galitzine embarked on a major training regiment to bulk up for the role of Adam/He-Man. Original He-Man actor Dolph Lundgren did an interview with IGN about a possible appearance in the film as King Randor and even advocated Chris Hemsworth for the role of He-Man but declined due to similarities with his Thor character.
Masters of the Universe is released on 5th June 2026
