Cannes 2026 saw actor John Travolta awarded an honorary Palme D’or for his work as an actor which goes back fifty years that takes in a load of excellent films that include Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Blow Out, Face Off and of course the career reviving masterpiece, Pulp Fiction. But he was in Cannes with his new film ‘Propeller One Way Night Coach’ that is John Travolta directing debut.
The is a long gestating project based on his 1997 novel that follows a young aviation enthusiast Jeff (Clark Shotwell) and his mother on a cross-country flight to Hollywood that transforms into a life-changing journey filled with unexpected moments.
Running at only an hour the film is on Apple TV that sees the star with a brief role and providing the voiceover. But also in the film is his daughter Elle Blue Travolta and here they chatted about the film and what went on behind the scenes with John Travolta debut directing
