With the release of the new Film almost upon is director Travis Knight has talked a few He-Man reveals that night surprise
Most noticeable from all of the trailers has been the absence of She-ra the Princess of power and the rumour is that she will pop up in a post credit sequence and Knight has hinted that she is being saved for a sequel saying,
‘“I can say very little about She-Ra. For me, She-Ra has always been a big part of the Masters world and a big part of Adam’s story. In the fullness of time, if we’re lucky to tell more stories in this universe, She-Ra will play a huge part.”
More He-Man reveals….
Just as revealing is what’s in or actually whats been removed from the film. Already running at a huge 140 minutes (that’s two hours twenty minutes!) and it seem from the what the director has said that it would have been even longer taking the film to truly epic length. It appears that She-ra in her non-transformed counterpart Princess Adora might be part of the this with Knight explaining,
“Whether or not she plays any part in this movie, I cannot say – but we definitely had many, many conversations about the character. There are giant scenes in the movie that aren’t there any longer. I am very proud of the movie, but there are definitely things that I love that we had to cut. Hopefully, they will get to see the light of day at some point.”
There’s likely to be more He-Man reveals but in the meantime Prime Video with Heidi Schreck on board as writer and executive producer is currently developing a series for the character.
It’s been almost 40 years since the first live action film that starred Dolph Lundgren in the title role and Frank Langella as Skeletor but the film made only $17m meaning a sequel was never greenlit.
