That Whistle ending explained ……
With the horror film now on wide release we here’s that Whistle ending explained. Now the conceit of the Whistle horror movie centres on an Aztec whistle that should a person blows into it death would stalk them as well as anyone else who heard the sound the whistle made. And the films central act sees the new girl in school Chrys, along with a group of friends and a teacher, hunted down by the spectre of death and what follows is a series of grisly set pieces.
But there is a get out clause which sees two characters surviving after a grandmother explains that the curse of death can be re-assigned to another effectively weaponizing it for those originally marked with the curse.
With that mid-credits scene here’s the Whistle ending explained ……
And it’s the mid –credits sequence that changes this when a new teenager at the school stands up on the school hall stage and blows on the whistle to a packed hall of students including Chrys & Ellie. And so now those characters who had attained safety are now back as targets setting up a sequel and possible a new horror franchise.
The Whistle sequel….
With the Whistle ending explained director Corin Hardy has revealed that that end credit scene was to have taken place in the school canteen but was changed so as to widen the number of victims exponentially. He also added that any sequel will be on a far bigger scale too. Understandably, because there are now far more potential victims so we can expect set pieces in any future sequel to include a scene of mass death. Hardy said, “If you know the mythology and what’s going to happen to 400 of them, that would make an interesting movie in its own right.”
We’re guessing the only escape for Chrys and Ellie is earplugs!
