The Backrooms trailer puzzles us….
Landing in our inbox is the Backrooms poster (which gives us no hint about what films subject) and also the Backrooms trailer which though initially looks a little banal the voiceover gives it a distinctly uneasy edge.
And as for the Backrooms trailer synopsis…
But the synopsis gives little away beyond saying, ‘A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom’ and then there’s the tag line, ‘You are not supposed to be here’.
So who is involved wit the film and what might it be about?
Directed by Kane Parsons and written by Will Soodik but it’s that the film is produced by James Wan that gives a clue as to what genre this is going to be. Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve (both Oscar nominees) and Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett with Lukita Maxwell we are intigued by this lo-fi trailer and more will be revealed over the coming months but please do let us know what you make of it all
