The Story behind The Sheep Detectives trailer……
In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realise they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.
A very impressive cast list….
Apart from Hugh Jackman the producers have gathered a great cast that includes Nicholas Braun. Nicholas Galitzine , Molly Gordon with Hong Chau and Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart (his first movie with Jackman outside of the X-Men franchise), Bella Ramsey , Brett Goldstein and Rhys Darby. The film is directed by Kyle Balda with a Screenplay by Craig Mazin that’s based on the novel “Three Bags Full” by Leonie Swann.

According to animator Man Arenas on the animation website Dodecaden. The film was originally going to be an all animated feature film made by famous German animation studio TFC Trickompany Filmproduktion who made the cult adult animated film ‘Felidae’ as their spiritual successor of that film along with German film production company and Felidae’s co-production studio Senator Film Produktion. The film started production in 2006, but was canceled once Trickompany Filmproduktion filed for bankruptcy in 2010.
A release date is to be confirmed but it will be in 2026
