We get a first look at The Mummy trailer?
It worked for Brenda Fraser but not for Tom Cruise despite both of their versions of the classic Mummy monster being action films rather than horror. Well the latest Mummy reboot looks like it will be going back to its horror roots if director Lee Cronin is anything to go by after his chapter of Evil Dead was another excellent entry in that particular franchise earning $147m. So well was it received that hot off the record-setting resurrection of EVIL DEAD RISE, writer/director Lee Cronin now gets his name in the title as he turns to one of the most iconic horror stories of all time with an audacious and twisted retelling in LEE CRONIN’S THE MUMMY trailer
What can we expect from Lee Cronin’s The Mummy trailer?
“After his missing daughter mysteriously returns eight years later, a father discovers she carries the spirit of an ancient Egyptian mummy, and as the evil spreads to his other child, he must perform a deadly ritual to save them, even if it means becoming the monster himself.”
Who’s starring ?
The film has also been scripted by director Cronin and starring Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, with Veronica Falcón. The film is produced by James Wan, Jason Blum and John Keville. The executive producers are Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Macdara Kelleher and Lee Cronin. Cronin is supported behind the camera by a team of sterling film artisans, including director of photography Dave Garbett, production designer Nick Bassett, editor Bryan Shaw, costume designer Joanna Eatwell, music by Stephen McKeon and casting by Terri Taylor and Sarah Domeier Lindo.
LEE CRONIN’S THE MUMMY will be released in the UK on 17th April 2026
