We had the chance to talk to the always entertaining writer – director Kevin Smith. With a wide variety of films that started with Clerks and since then has taken in the controversial Dogma, the thought provoking ‘Chasing Amy’, and even an action film, Cop Out’ that starred Bruce Willis and his most recent film, ‘The 4.30 Movie’ a love letter to his favourite cinema and seeing films in the budget ticket slot. But we got round to talking about a variety of subjects that included Kevin Smith’s dream film project. As entertainingly verbose as ever we chatted about a whole load of wild and varied topics and got round to asking him about his dream film project where he gave an unexpected though not unsurprising answer.
As he spoke about his dream project he also named an actor he adores but will never want to cast in one of his films. It was a bit of a bombshell revelation though the rumours about said actor make Smith’s answer understandable.
