Andy Serkis’s Animal Farm trailer…..

Actor Andy Serkis has a number of films as director under his belt which includes ‘Venom : Let There be Carnage’ and ‘Mowgli : Legend of the Jungle’ that saw a load of big name actors undergo his mo-cap process that he originated with his portrayal of Gollum. He’s about to start filming, ‘Lord of the Rings:Hunt of Gollum’ but before that we get a first look at his latest film with the release of the Animal Farm trailer.

Based on the 1prophetic 940’s book by George Orwell written in the mid-1940s as his take on Starmer-ism sorry,  Stalinism which had taken over the USSR in a post-revolution Soviet Union. His book told the tale of a group of farm animals who rebel against their owner with a plan to create a utopian, free and happy life for themselves. But one group — the pigs — end up taking over and the society becomes as shackled as it was before. Anyone who’s read the book will remember the hypocrisy of the pigs mantra, ‘Four legs, good, two legs, bad!’ when they start to walk on their hind legs. It remains one of the greatest  novels on the twentieth century and is as relevant today as it was then and the subtitle of Serkis’ film, which was adapted by Nicholas Stoller is ‘A Cautionary Tail’.
