Five Night at Freddy’s 2 arrives on 4K UHD, BLU-RAY
& DVD
We’ve had over 30 years of film adaptations of videos games that ranged from the awful (the 1993 live action ‘Super Mario bros’) to the awesome (the animated billion dollar blockbuster 2023 Super Mario bros ). In between those two films there has been dozens of others with varying degrees of success and one that took some years to get to the big screen was Five Nights at Freddy’s. Costing only $20m the 2023 film went on to earn a huge $137m so a sequel was quickly greenlit and 2025 saw Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 released.
The Five Night at Freddy’s 2 story ….
This sequel is set one year after the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, when former security guard Mike’s sister, Abby, sneaks out in search of her animatronic friends: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. As terrifying events begin to unfold, dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s are revealed, unleashing a forgotten horror hidden away for decades.
This time the script was written solely by Scott Cawthon the man behind the game itself and without the com writers Seth Cuddeback and director Emma Tammi it’s not as cohesive as the first film. But despite that it didn’t seem to bother fans with the sequel performing even better than the first film earning a huge $238m meaning that a third film is inevitable and already in development
With a cast that included both Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich it’s a pity that a nod to their partnership in the original Scream movie could not be referenced. And the appearance of Wayne Knight, perhaps best known for his key role in instigating the original carnage in Jurassic Park, is always a welcome addition to any film.

- HIGH-STRUNG– Cast and crew reveal the multiple methods used to turn the Marionette into an eerie entity whose unique design and haunting movements are unlike any other animatronic.
- SENSORY OVERLOAD: EXPLORING THE SETS – Actors join the artists behind the production design to serve up details on the Easter eggs and game inspirations lurking inside the incredible sets.
All of these do offer a fascinating behind the scenes look at the puppets making the disc something of a must for FNAF fans.
