Landing in our inbox is a first look at the Jackie the Stripper trailer from writer-director Michael Head and is a move away from previous films of his which were gangster based dramas that included Bermondsey Tales, The Last Heist and A meeting Across the River. all of which are well worth a look. But his latest film is a move away from that genre and into horror
The film follows Jackie and her band of female assassins who plot against The Court, a secret organization once led by Jack The Ripper. In the past, John Grey fought the Ripper’s tyranny. Now Jackie plans to end the court’s reign of terror once and for all!
There’s some interesting casting going on here with a lead role played by Charlotte Kirk and appearances from Patsy Kensit, Jamie Lomas, Kimberly Wyatt, Gary Webster, the always entertaining Perry Benson and serial bride and Turkish plastic surgery enthusiast Katie Price. Now we’ve had the privilege of having already seen the film and we don’t want to spoil anything because at present a release date is still to be confirmed but is likely to be later this year. Its been picked up at the Berlin film festival for the European film market and further details should be confirmed shortly. The tagline reads ‘Revenge is a dish best served cold, while wearing killer heels’ and so many of the cast are understandably scantily clad in their roles as lap dancers so the lingerie budget must have been huge!
