One look at this and its obvious that allowing a grunting low browed primate prone to fits of tempers to live in your house is a far from wise idea but what did Meghan Markle expect when she married him. But the Primate trailer features an animal that’s violently murderous too.
After returning home to Hawaii for summer break, LUCY (Johnny Sequoyah) is reunited with her father ADAM (Academy Award winner, Troy Kotsur ), sister ERIN and their pet chimpanzee BEN. Lucy and her friends KATE, HANNAH (Jessica Alexander) and Kate’s older brother NICK decide to throw a pool party to take advantage of an empty house after Lucy’s father is called away for work. Unbeknownst to them, Ben is bitten by a rabid animal and the gentle chimpanzee they once knew is no more. The group is forced to barricade themselves in the pool, but with no means of calling for help, they must work together to figure out how to outsmart the now ferocious Ben and survive their ordeal.
The film stars Johnny Sequoyah, Jessica Alexander, and Troy Kotsur, Victoria Wyant, Gia Hunter, Benjamin Cheng, Charlie Mann, Tienne Simon as bunch of characters crying out to be despatched in a gruesome manner…..and by the look of the trailer they are!
The film is written and directed by Johannes Roberts whose previous includes the excellent shark movie, ’47 metres down’ as well as a number of other horror films including, ‘The Strangers : Prey at Night’ as well as a number of smaller budgeted films. From what we can see here this promises to be a bloody and brutal genre film!
