1997 creature feature Anaconda was a star studded gore fest with J-Lo, Owen Wilson, Ice Cube and Jon Voight and made $126m and spawned a number of sequels. Well now there’s a reboot with a distinctly comic vein if this Anaconda trailer is anything to go by.
This reboot is a bit meta with a story that focuses on a group of friends who were obsessed with the ’90s film and set out to shoot their own version with a giant snake and all that comes with it.
Co-written and directed by Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) this new film stars Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Selton Mello, Daniela Melchior, Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn and Ione Skye who round out the cast for the new feature from Columbia Pictures.
Anaconda is set for a 26th December release
