Like many we’re big fans of director Edgar Wright’s film. His cornetto trilogy with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are huge fun and now he turns his attention to a remake of a Schwarzenegger favourite with the release of The Running Man trailer .
Based on the Stephen King novel it sees a man join a game show where contestants, allowed to go anywhere in the world, are pursued by “hunters” hired to kill them.
Here the running man of the title is played by Glen Powell whose star has been on the rise for the past couple of years and joining him is Josh Brolin, Michael Cera, William H Macy and Sandra Dickinson who we’ve not seen in anything for years! It’s a film that Wright has been most keen to do a version.
The Running Man is set for release on 7th November 2025
