So the Predator franchise had seemed to have fallen off a cliff in terms of quality but the release of ‘Prey’ changed all that. To huge critical and commercial acclaim the film, much like Alien Romulus, has rejuvenated the franchise. With sequels greenlit we now have the first look at the first full Predator Badlands trailer.
Set in the future on a remote planet, a young Predator – outcast from his clan – finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
As per the teaser trailer this new trailer confirms that here the predator is the protagonist in this new film and Fanning is definitely an android. Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi takes on the role of the Predator, who is named Dek, in the film which was shot in New Zealand at the end of 2024. Director Dan Trachtenberg returns promising that what we’ve seen in the teaser trailer is now expanded in ti full on monster madness and f rankly we cant’ wait!
The film is set for a November 7th release.
