Civil War was one of 2024’s best films and writer-director Alex Garland’s military advisor on that film was Ray Mendoza and together they have made Warfare based on a true incident that Mendoza, as a Navy SEAL, found himself in during the 2006 Iraq war.
The film follows a platoon of Navy SEALs embark on a dangerous mission in Ramadi, Iraq, with the chaos and brotherhood of war retold through their memories of the event. Read our review HERE
