Landing in our inbox is the final Final Destination Bloodlines trailer and it looks as imaginative….and as gruesome as the previous films in what has always been a highly entertaining franchise.
Plagued by a recurring violent nightmare, a college student returns home to find the one person who can break the cycle and save her family from the horrific fate that inevitably awaits them.
Starring Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Rya Kihlstedt, with Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd (in what was his final film before he passed away in 2024) and is the newest chapter in New Line Cinema’s bloody successful franchise takes audiences back to the very beginning of Death’s twisted sense of justice!
Starting way back in 2000 Final Destination was a highly imaginative horror franchise that had audiences wrong footed by the often spectacularly imaginative set pieces resulting in the demise of the cast one by one and the film made over $112m off a modest $23m budget. Since then we have had four further installments including one in 3D with the last being in 2011. In total the films have made $663m with the last two films in the series being the most successful box office wise so its a mystery why we have had to wait fourteen years for another. Whatever, this latest does look as much fun as the previous films and we’re there for it!
Rumour has it that directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein even went so far as to orchestrate a death scene during their pitch meeting to the studio over Zoom using a combination of pre-recorded footage and visual effects. It got them the gig!
