So we got a sneak peak of the Timestalker trailer and were immediately intrigued in what seems to be a bit of a bloody and brutal reposte to Richard Curtis rom-coms.
Timestalker follows hapless heroine Agnes (Alice Lowe) through time as she repeatedly falls for the wrong guy, dies a grim death, gets reincarnated a century later, before meeting him again and starting the cycle anew. Agnes’ only hope in avoiding this violent fate is by finally reaching spiritual enlightenment; but how can she ever wise up when she’s destined to be a fool for love? Some lessons are just too hard to learn in one lifetime.
Timestalker is written and directed by Alice Lowe, who also stars in the film alongside Jacob Anderson, Aneurin Barnard, Tanya Reynolds and Nick Frost.
Timestalker is released in UK and Irish cinemas from 11th October 2024
