With a seventh Jurassic Park / World film now filming and the title confirmed as being Jurassic World Rebirth – we’re still undecided about that one – but what was an under wraps story has seemingly been revealed according to SFF Gazette. So the Jurassic World Rebirth story is as follows:
“The film will be set five years following the events of Jurassic World Dominion, when the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind. Covert operations expert Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) attempts to secure the genetic material from the dinosaurs but ends up stranded with a civilian family on an island that holds a secret being kept from humanity for decades.”
There are also rumoured to be three major dinosaurs to be featured in the movie: the returning giant aquatic Mosasaurus, the Titanisaurus and the Quetzacoatlus.
It looks likely that this will be the start of a new trilogy after the three films in the Jurassic World franchise earned $1.6b , $1.3b and $1b respectively and its likely that this is likely to follow in same box office breaking tradition with a cast headed up by Scarlett Johansson and also stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise with David Iacono.
Helming is director Gareth Edwards, whose The Creator (2023) deserved far more love and success at the box office, and this seventh film in the franchise is scheduled for a July 2025 release a month that might also see the new Mission Impossible film released also
