So if you have not heard of Black Bear they are a film distributor whose have given us some of the best films over the past couple of years including Dumb Money, Origin and the astonishing Longlegs (go to our reviews section HERE to read about all of them). Well their latest is the Conclave trailer which has been picking up great word of mouth and looks a likely awards contender.
From director Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front) CONCLAVE is based on the novel by Robert Harris and follows one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events – selecting a new Pope. Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is tasked with running this covert process after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence finds himself at the center of a conspiracy and discovers a secret that could shake the very foundation of The Church.
Starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini, the film has already received a hugely positive reception following its premiere at the Toronto Film festival.
CONCLAVE IS IN CINEMAS ACROSS UK & IRELAND from 29th NOVEMBER 2024
