The ‘….has fallen’ film trilogy that starred Gerard Butler (Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, Angel Has Fallen) did sterling business on release even when the ‘London has Fallen’ film bared scant relation to the geography of central London. PARIS HAS FALLEN, a high octane, brand new original series for CANAL+ and is part of an upcoming 8 x 52 minute series, adapted from the HAS FALLEN movie franchise and is written by Howard Overman (War of The Worlds, Misfits). Oded Ruskin (No Man’s Land, Drops Of God) is lead director on the series alongside Hans Herbots (The Serpent).
PARIS HAS FALLEN features an international cast led by Tewfik Jallab (Spiral, Dark Hearts) starring as protection officer Vincent Taleb and Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy) as MI6 Operative Zara Taylor. Rounding out the talented cast roster is Sean Harris (Mission Impossible: Fallout), Ana Ularu (Emerald City), Camille Rutherford (Blue Is The Warmest Colour), Jérémie Covillault (Tell No One), Emmanuelle Bercot (My King), and Karl Collins (Attack The Block).
The synopsis is as follows: When a terrorist group led by the villainous Jacob Pearce attacks a high-profile event, with the French Minister of Defence as their target, protection officer Vincent Taleb finds himself working with street-smart MI6 operative Zara Taylor to save the day. But when events take a dark turn, Vincent and Zara soon realize that the plan extends beyond just one politician. When they suspect that one of their colleagues in the security services is feeding information to Jacob, Vincent and Zara find themselves needing to rely only on each other. Increasingly isolated and with Jacob always one step ahead, can this unlikely pair stop Paris from falling to a man hell-bent on vengeance?
