We were invited along to a sneak preview of Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon trailer which was introduced by the man himself and like everyone else there we were blown away by the visuals on the big screen. Having been shown the Rebel Moon trailer we were then given the opportunity to take a closer look at the Rebel Moon costumes and outfits worn by the stars of the film. Incredibly detailed and impressively designed by his regular collaborator Stephanie Portnoy Porter who had also worked on Justice League, Batman v Superman as well as Sucker Punch for the director.
Rebel Moon is an epic science-fantasy event decades in the making. When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors – outsiders, insurgents, peasants and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.
The film is of epic length and is a two parter released in December 2023 and then April 2024 and promises to be event TV and its a shame that this isn’t going to be on in the cinema on IMAX (maybe Netflix will have a change of heart).
