Rebel Moon – TRAILER

So love him or loathe him you can’t deny that writer director Zack Snyder is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to big screen block buster films and the Rebel Moon trailer is no different!

When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors – outsiders, insurgents, peasants and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.

This is a huge budgeted two parter film from Netflix and plays very much like Star Wars film as seen through the eyes of Snyder. As ever there’s some impressive visuals in this even if the opener shot plays a little too much like Gladiator with hints of Dune but nonetheless there’s enough in this to be a must see film when its released just before Christmas. Co written with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad both of whom have worked with Snyder before on Army of the Dead and 300 respectively and this looks to be of epic proportions.

An all star cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Cary Elwes, Charlie Hunnam, Jena Malone, Sofia Boutella, Ed Skrein and Djimon Hounsou.

Zack Snyder’s REBEL MOON two-part movie event begins this December only on Netflix

Part One: A Child of Fire | 22nd December 2023
