Way back in 2016 we had a Korean zombie film ‘Train to Busan’ that saw a father and daughter trapped on a travelling train as a zombie plague infects the passengers. It was terrific and a belated sequel Peninsula followed. Well now from the same pioneering director Yeon Sang-ho we have his latest zombie themed film., Colony.
Professor Se Jeong attends a biotech conference, only to witness it spiral into catastrophe when a rapidly mutating virus is unleashed. As the outbreak spreads and the infected begin to transform, authorities seal off the entire facility.
There’s a little something of the Spanish film, ‘Rec’ about this which is no bad thing as that was a great zombie film too.
STUDIOCANAL will release COLONY in cinemas across the UK & Ireland on 28th August
