With the first Jackass film released all the way back in 2002 and earning $79m off a tiny $5m budget it spawned three sequels….until now! Landing in our inbox is the Jackass best and last trailer!
What to expect in the Jackass best and last trailer…
This fifth and purportedly last film follows the Jackass crew as they perform their final series of dangerous stunts and pranks, marking the end of the franchise.
Helmed once again by director Jeff Tremaine the regular team is back headed up as always by Johnny Knoxville in a trailer that harks back to some of their greatest pranks. So whilst the first sequel made $84m it was third film in 2010 – that was in 3D that earned a huge $171m but surprisingly a fourth, and what was presumed, a last film did not appear until 2022 and earned only $80m.
But with Knoxville now 56 years of age and the rest being of a similar age they’re not walking away from the physical stunts without injury quite so frequently. In fact the last film saw him he get broken rib, a broken wrist, a bad concussion and a brain hemorrhage during a stunt with a bull and the films underwriters have barred him form doing any stunts that could lead to a concussion. But the troupe have not gone with casualties and in the case of Ryan Dunne fatally so when he was killed in a car crash. Bam Margera has not appeared in the fourth film or this fifth and last film having been fired by Knoxville. And injuries for the rest of the team are too numerous to mention!
