After the initial trilogy, a remake and a sequel we now have a sixth film with the release of the Evil Dead Burn trailer and its quite a trailer too!
This time the plot sees a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home after the loss of her husband. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites – turning the gathering into a family reunion from Hell – she comes to discover that the vows she took in life… live on even in death.
Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, Maude Davey, George Pullar, and Greta Van Den Brink star and there’s surely got to be a covert cameo from Bruce Campbell in there somewhere (a s there was with Evil Dead Rise). The film is directed by Sébastien Vaniček who has co-written the film with Florent Bernard his writing partner from his previous film , ‘Infested that caught Raimi’s attention. It follows the previous couple of films criteria of hiring a new and emerging director as was the case with Lee Cronin and Fede Alvarez who both went on to direct bigger budgeted films with the recent The Mummy and Alien Romulus respectively.
What we can expect from Evil Dead Burn trailer….
Vanicek has said that his intention with his Evil Dead film was to, “create a visceral, sensory experience that punches the audience in the gut. I want people to feel physically drained when they leave the theater, like they’ve been through an emotional and intense journey.” The trailer certainly suggests that he might well have achieved that and more!
