The DC movies from Warners are just getting better and better from what many we have seen previously and the Clayface trailer looks intriguing in what is the first big screen version of the character.
A shape-shifting creature made of magical clay haunts Gotham City, alternating between villain and ally of Batman. Multiple tragic figures have taken on the Clayface mantle over the years.

Co-written by by Mike Flanagan, who has a very impressive pedigree when it comes to adapting Stephen King novels, turns his hand to DC and has said that the film takes inspiration from the Batman: The Animated Series (1992) episodes Feat of Clay: Part I (1992) and Feat of Clay: Part II (1992) which also told the origin of Matt Hagen’s Clayface. Originally was meant to be in the DC Extended Universe and rumored to be part of Matt Reeves The Batman Crime Saga but it was announced as part of the DC Universe instead. Flanagan had intended to direct as well but is busy with his Exorcist reboot. Instead helming it all is James Watkins whose films the Woman in Black, Speak No Evil and especially the under rated Eden Lake show he’s a dab hand with scares and horror.
It was rumoured that Daniel Radcliffe was being lined up to eyed to star as Clayface but director James Gunn has gone on record to say that he was never in contention for the role but that George Mackay, Tom Blyth, Jack O’Connell and Leo Woodall were very all considered before Tom Rhys Harries nabbed the role.
Clayface will be released on 11th September in the UK and 23rd October in the US
