What are those last minute Supergirl tweaks?
With the new Super Mario film about to open it signals the beginning of the Spring / Summer blockbuster season beginning in earnest. One of those films will be the new Supergirl film that we caught a glimpse of at the end of 2025’s Superman. So whilst filming has long finished the film is undergoing test screenings out of which have been revealed some last minute Supergirl tweaks
The rumour is that there have been an unusually high number of test screenings, thought to be eight at last count with three different endings having been used the most recent of which was shown a week ago to Californian audiences which are thought to have been a “Man of Tomorrow” introduced in a style similar to Supergirl’s cameo last year. And the film is rumoured to be like a, ‘space western’ with a “Guardians of the Galaxy” vibe which is no bad thing when you consider just how successful that trilogy was.
Most reassuring is that Milly Alcock who plays Supergirl is getting huge praise and extremely positive feedback as is Jason Momoa’s role as Lobo. Momoa is on something of a roll after the huge success of A Minecraft Movie (that earned a huge $961m) and most recently The Wrecking Crew and looks set to continue his success here too.

However on the downside is Matthias Schoenaerts’ villain Krem of the Yellow Hills that has been getting a less positive feedback. And those last minute Supergirl tweaks also include the films composers who are undergoing frequent changes with Ramin Djawadi, then Junkie XL and most recently Claudia Sarne putting the films score together.
Supergirl opens in cinemas on 26th June and we can’t wait!
