Behind the scenes with director Michael Head…
Director Michael Head is also an actor and writer with a number of successful stage plays under his belt but over the past few years he has gone behind the camera to helm several feature films that include, ‘Bermondsey Tales : Fall of the Roman Empire’ and the soon to be released ‘Jackie the Stripper’. But his latest film is ‘The Spin’ an Irish road movie written by Colin Broderick and Mark McCausland.
The story of The Spin
The film follows two music-loving but unlikely friends Dermot (Brenock O’Conner) and Elvis (Owen Colgan) who have two days to travel the length of Ireland to save their record store from closure. For one of them, not having a car is just one of the problems.
What director Micheal Head told us….
The film has a great cast that includes former Pussycat doll Kimberley Wyatt, as well as Maura Higgins. We got to chat to Michael Head about a whole host of behind the scenes stories including dodgy cars, horse play and filming in Ireland for the first time.
