News arrives of Keanu Reeves Shiver movie that’s been described as ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ and ‘The Shallows’ which by any stretch of the imagination is quite some genre mashup with the former being about a soldier trapped in a time loop during an alien invasion whereas the latter is a shark survival movie!
Who is directing?
The script has been written by Ian Shorr whose last script was ‘Infinite’ that Antoine Fuqua directed. Shivers will be directed by Tim Miller a former visual effects genius who went on to direct Deadpool. he went on to helm Terminator Dark Fate that was intended to rejuvenate the franchise but fared badly (and to be fair there’s been far worse Terminator movies – we’re looking at you Genysys!). Since then he went on to create Netflix’s award-winning adult animated anthology series ‘Love, Death & Robots’.
What is Keanu Reeves Shiver movie about?
Exact details of the Shivers story have been kept rightly guarded hut what has been leaked is that the story revolves around a ne’er-do-well smuggler who finds himself in the middle of a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean Sea that then finds him surrounded by bodies galore , a host of hostile mercenaries and a whole bunch of thirsty sharks. That is until he finds a deathly time loop and scrambles to break the cycle.
Keanu’s film future?
Despite a fleeting appearance in Ballerina ( which was far better than its been given credit, I mean its got Ana de Armas in a flame thrower fight!) and the comedy ‘Good Fortune’ both of which fared poorly Keanu Reeves is still in demand expectation is high for BRZRKR based on his own comic creation and is in development at Netflix….and there’s always the rumoured John Wick 5!
