One of the UK’s best-loved detective dramas and the longest-running – Midsomer Murders is back for its 23rd series. Following its run on ITV have a Midsomer Murders series 23 DVD giveaway courtesy of Acorn Media International.
The new series of this true national treasure features four brand-new cases for the inimitable DCI John Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) and his trusty sidekick DS Jamie Winter (Nick Hendrix ) to tackle. The tenacious two return for more curious crime-solving in the idyllic and picturesque setting of Midsomer, where beneath the tranquil exterior of country life, a sinister propensity for killing lurks. This time, the detectives must contend with yet more cunning criminals as they find themselves thrust into new weird and wonderful worlds, from doomsday prepping and police retirement villages to artisan bakeries and drag shows. This series sees our favourite regulars reprise their roles, including Annette Badland as the inimitable pathologist Dr. Fleur Perkins, Nick Hendrix as DS Jamie Winter, Fiona as DCI Barnaby’s wife Sarah, Isabel Shaw as their daughter Betty and not forgetting Paddy the dog.
