With the summer pretty much over and the summer blockbusters now a fading memory we are now into the horror season and the run up to Halloween. Having gone from a low budget shocker to a sequel that the makers knowingly put forward for consideration for an Oscar nomination we now have the final part of the trilogy with the release of the Terrifier 3 trailer.
After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother are struggling to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.
Advance notice has been given that this apparently is the goriest entry in the trilogy with David Howard Thornton who plays Art the clown claiming that one one of the scenes made him feel sick.
The film co-stars Lauren LaVera (Terrifier 2), Daniel Roebuck (Final Destination), Elliot Fullam (Terrifier 2), Bryce Johnson (Pretty Little Liars), Samantha Scaffidi (Terrifier), Jason Patric (The Lost Boys), wrestling superstar Chris Jericho (MacGruber) plus horror legend Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead, From Dusk Till Dawn) and genre favourite Clint Howard (Ice Cream Man, Lords of Salem) and we’re betting that many of those will meet a pretty brutal demise. Terrifier 3 is written and directed once again by Damien Leone.
Terrifier 3 is only in U.K. and Irish cinemas from 11th October 2024.
