The Jake Gyllenhaal version of “Road House” became Amazon MGM’s studio’s most-watched home produced film debut ever on a worldwide basis so it is little surprise that there Road House 2 news with Jake Gyllenhaal reprising his leading role as Dalton.
There;s little much more know than that at this stage including any whether aby other potential returnees like Liman or co-stars from the film which had a cast that also included Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almeida, Conor McGregor and Lukas Gage will return.
Amazon MGM Studio chief Jennifer Salke said, ‘As we saw this spring the world went crazy for a little movie called ‘Road House’. Nearly 80 million viewers globally have watched ‘Road House.’ We like to watch this these results like a baby.”
The film was written by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry with legendary action producer Joel Silver and the film premiered on March 21st with over 50 million watching worldwide over its first two weekends.
