Chris Hemsworth has had quite a career in blockbusters what with the Thor movies and most recently Furiosa but now there is news of Chris Hemsworth in Transformers & GI Joe crossover.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,” first hinted at it when Anthony Ramos’ character Noah meets a shady government operative named Agent Burke, played “House of Cards” star Michael Kelly. He hands Noah a business card, after saving the world with the Autobots, and it’s revealed Burke works for the G.I. Joes, a special team of commandos. The two popular ’80s brands have crossed over in Marvel comics before, but this would be the first time they come together on the big screen.
There was a crossover graphic novel that could serve as inspiration. “It took almost two years to go through the whole system and talk to everybody and get a feel.” said Rise of the beasts director Steven Caple who first suggested the idea to the studio. It is unclear if a writer or director is currently on the movie but expect more announcements about Chris Hemsworth in Transformers & GI Joe crossover soon.
Hemsworth is already starring in the animated movie “Transformers One.” that was one of the highest-testing Paramount Animation titles ever. The Transformers and G.I. Joe movies combined have grossed a lifetime total of $6 billion at the global box office.
