After the huge success of The Beekeeper (read our review HERE) Director David Ayers and Jason Statham reunite for a new action thriller that has just begun shooting in the UK
Adapted by Sylvester Stallone from the Levon Cade books by Chuck Dixon, the feature centres on Cade (played by Statham), a legendary figure in the world of black ops whose attempts to go straight with a new career in construction are derailed when he is drawn into the hunt for a missing college student.
The film is based on the first of eleven books in the Levon Cade series, leaving plenty of source material for a vigilante action franchise. Black Bear and BlockFilm produce alongside Balboa Productions (Stallone’s prodco), Punch Palace Productions (Statham’s company) and Cedar Park Entertainment (Ayer).
Expect more bone crunching action set pieces with a release date expected summer 2025 and its likely, that we can expect David Ayers and Jason Statham to reunite for further films if the franchise takes off.
