Mark Ruffalo might well be an Oscar nominee but he’s also as famous for playing the Hulk as he is for a number of Marvel-related PR slip-ups that includes spoiling the “Avengers: Infinity War” ending to accidentally live-streaming part of “Thor: Ragnarok”! Well his latest is a Mark Ruffalo standalone Hulk film
One thing he did say that seems set though is that Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has made it clear to the actor – there won’t be a standalone Hulk film at the studio. Some years ago he was asked by Marvel producer: “What would you do if you had a standalone Hulk movie?” to which the actor replied “I said, ‘I’d like to take him from this raging maniac to this integrated character’” With Feige telling him ‘Okay. We’ll do that over the course of four movies. We’ll never give you a standalone Hulk… Don’t mean to burst your bubble, but that’s just not going to [happen]… So, we’ll do it over four movies, how does that sound?”
But with regard to further Hulk appearances at a recent Q&A he seemed to indicate that his take on The Hulk for Marvel Studios will be in the upcoming film “Captain America: Brave New World”. Asked if he’ll next appear in the 2025 film to which he said “Yeah”. Then asked “Are you allowed to talk about that?” to which he responded: “Yeah. It’s going to be great!.” However according to multiple sources for trade paper Variety, Ruffalo got it mixed up thinking he was agreeing ‘Brave New World’ was one of Marvel’s next films – not that he was in it.
“Captain America: Brave New World” will be released in cinemas February 14th.
